The network and seminar series is currently run by Maxime Quijoux (Research Associate, CNRS) and Sadiya Akram (Associate Professor, University of Birmingham, UK).
Our objective is to gather researchers (from all disciplines) who engage with the work of Pierre Bourdieu to understand how inequality is made, maintained or resisted in the workplace and the labor market.
Our first project was the 2022 conference, which took place in Paris. This was a free and hybrid conference, making the event truly international, with speakers from each and every continent. This was organised by the network founders, Benjamin Brundu-Gonzalez (PhD candidate, London School of Economics), Maxime Quijoux (Research Associate, CNRS) and Siyu Li (Assistant Professor, Aix-Marseille University).
In 2023, we launched monthly online seminars where researchers from all around the world present and discuss their recent work. Click here to check out upcoming seminars!
