2022 CONFERENCE

The Bourdieu, Work, and Inequalities (BWI) conference took place on 16-18 November 2022 at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM), in Paris.

The conference was organized into 27 thematic sessions designed to represent the major areas of research that emerged from abstract submissions.

These thematic sessions covered topics such as power differentials in academia, the experiences of migrant workers, elite closure in the workplace, and many more.

In addition to these thematic sessions, Narguesse Keyhani, Lauren Rivera, and Matthew Desmond addressed the conference in three inspiring plenaries on the conference theme.

To find out more, you can check the conference program, read our call for abstracts, or read what people said.

We are proud to say that this was a free, hybrid event, to allow everyone to participate wherever they are in the world, whatever the situation
